Our Services

We provide a wide range of services:

Central Heating Boilers

As Guildford’s independent heating and boiler (gas and electric) installer Lampard heating provides a 24 hour service for all your heating requirements. We use a good team of Gas Safe (CORGI) registered heating engineers who undertake all types of breakdown repairs quickly and efficiently including fault finding and diagnostic solutions. The engineers we use design and install complete systems and can repair or upgrade your existing system wherever possible. They can also carry out a heating efficiency survey on your system.

Whether you need a new system installed in your home or are considering replacing the existing one, Lampard Heating, Guildford will design and install a bespoke system to suit the exact requirements of you and your home using the latest high efficiency appliances and energy efficient controls.

Hot water cylinders

A cylinder is simply a tank that will store your hot water and pass it through taps and showers when required.

Cylinders offer significant performance improvements over traditional cylinders. They come in a wide range of capacities from 90 to 300 litres so it’s easy to find a size that suits your home and lifestyle. They are highly insulated to reduce loss of heat and will give you the hot water you need quickly.

You can choose from two types of cylinder. We have a cylinder for use with a boiler or a cylinder which allows you to add solar water heating to your system.

Hot water cylinders are found in many households and are used in mains-pressure and gravity-fed heating systems. The primary role of a hot water cylinder is to store water and heat it via immersions or a coil. Generally, an indirect hot water cylinder will be heated by a coil with an immersion heater(s) as a back-up heat source. A direct hot water cylinder would be heated exclusively by immersion heaters. Cylinders are mostly made from stainless steel, although copper hot water cylinders are also popular.

Radiators are a key aspect of any heating system. Properties come in all different shapes and sizes, and radiators need to be squeezed in. Fortunately Lampard Heating offers a huge range which will suit any requirement. Towel, decorative, flat, double, domestic and commercial radiators, Lampard Heating stocks them all.

The right radiator valves can also have a big impact on the heating system. Lampard Heating stocks manual valves in many styles, as well as thermostatic radiator vales (TRVs) which work by sensing the temperature of the air around the radiator to which it’s fitted, and turning the radiator off or on as appropriate.
TRVs are heating controls which can have a drastic effect on heating bills.

Underfloor heating

Replacing radiators with a home heating system that’s underfoot and out of sight means you have space to create the home you want without compromising on style.

Underfloor Heating gives you the freedom to furnish and decorate your home the way you want, making it perfect for modern open plan living. Plus, with our range of thermostat controls, you can precisely set the temperature in every room for constant comfort. And since heat is evenly distributed throughout your home, it’s efficient to run so you can save on energy costs.

Warm water underfloor heating, ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps and solar thermal collectors all integrate seamlessly to provide a heating and hot water system tailored to the individual needs of each customer. We design and supply a complete package with one source of responsibility and one point of contact.

Solar water heating

Solar water heating systems, or ‘solar thermal’ systems, use free heat from the sun to warm domestic hot water. A conventional boiler or immersion heater can be used to make the water hotter, or to provide hot water when solar energy is unavailable.

The benefits of solar water heating

Hot water throughout the year. The system works all year round, though you’ll need to heat the water further with a boiler or immersion heater during the winter months.
Reduced energy bills. Sunlight is free, so once you’ve paid for the initial installation your hot water costs will be reduced.
Lower carbon footprint. Solar hot water is a green, renewable heating system and can reduce your carbon dioxide emissions.

How do solar water heating systems work?

Solar water heating systems use solar panels, called collectors, fitted to your roof. These collect heat from the sun and use it to heat up water which is stored in a hot water cylinder. A boiler or immersion heater can be used as a back-up to heat the water further to reach the temperature you want.

There are two types of solar water heating panels:

  • Evacuated tubes
  • Flat plate collectors, which can be fixed on the roof tiles or integrated into the roof.

Larger solar panels can also be arranged to provide some contribution to heating your home as well. However, the amount of heat provided is generally very small and it is not normally considered worthwhile.
